Possible Bridesmaid Dresses

I went Bridesmaid dress shopping today at David's. I decided i definitely want to get the dresses from David's because it's convenient for everyone (since my 6 bridesmaids literally live all over the country - from new jersey to texas to california!) and they are a lot less expensive than other stores. Before you look at these dresses and hate them remember none of them are in the color i want. My color is called watermelon which is a deep pink.

Shopping was SO tough because my bridesmaids are all different shapes and sizes. I personally like the first dress best but im afraid it's too short. The last one is my second favorite but i can't tell if i like the hemline. Ahh so many decisions!

Could be Worse

Dear Mom: It is with great regret and sorrow that I'm writing you. I had to elope with my new boyfriend because I wanted to avoid a scene with Dad and you. I've been finding real passion with Ahmed and he is so nice-even with all his piercings, tattoos, beard, and his motorcycle clothes. But it's not only the passion Mom, I'm pregnant and Ahmed said that we will be very happy. He already owns a trailer in the woods and has a stack of firewood for the whole winter. He wants to have many more children with me and that's now one of my dreams too. Ahmed taught me that marijuana doesn't really hurt anyone and we'll be growing it for us and trading it with his friends for all the cocaine and ecstasy we want. In the meantime, we'll pray that science will find a cure for AIDS so Ahmed can get better; he sure deserves it!! Don't worry Mom, I'm 15 years old now and I know how to take care of myself. Someday I'm sure we'll be back to visit so you can get to know your grand children.

Your daughter, Judith

PS: Mom, none of the above is true. I'm over at the neighbor's house. I just wanted to remind you that there are worse things in life than my report card that's in my desk center drawer. I love you! Call when it is safe for me to come home.

9 Words Women Use

1. Fine: This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.

2. Five Minutes: If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the football before helping around the house.

3. Go Ahead: This is a dare, not permission. Don't Do It!

4. A Loud Sigh: This is actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing. (Refer quickly to No 9 for the meaning of nothing.)

5. That's Okay: This is one of the most dangerous statements a women can make to a man. That's okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.

6. Thanks: A woman is thanking you, do not question, or faint. Just say you're welcome. (I want to add a clause here - This is true, unless she says 'Thanks a lot', which is PURE sarcasm and she is not thanking you at all. DO NOT say 'you're welcome' - that will bring on No. 7).

7. Whatever: Is a woman's way of saying, "F-- YOU!"

8. Don't worry about it, I got it: Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking 'What's wrong?' For the woman's response refer to No. 4.

9. Nothing: This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in "Fine".

Send this link to the men you know, to warn them about arguments they can avoid if they remember the terminology.

MMT

Today, I was working in a coffee shop when 2 gay men walked in holding hands. As you might expect, heads started turning. Then a young girl at the table next to me asked her mom why 2 men were holding hands. Her mom replied, "Because they love each other."

Today, I was in line at the store behind a man holding a dozen roses. When he got up to the cashier's counter, he realized that the cashier looked sad. The man smiled and said, "I'm buying 11 of these roses for my wife." And then he handed the cashier the 12th rose. She smiled from ear to ear.

Today, while I was driving my grandfather to his doctor's appointment, I complained about hitting 2 red lights in a row. My grandfather chuckled and said, "You always complain about the red lights, but you never celebrate the green ones."

Today, in the grocery store parking lot, I watched a man run as fast as he could with a packed shopping cart and then jump on the back for a ride. He smiled and chuckled aloud as he rode the cart all the way to his car. He was in his mid-40's and wearing a formal suit and tie.

Today, I met a cute white guy at a local bar. In conversation he mentioned that he supports same sex marriages. I politely asked him if he was gay. He chuckled and said, "My mom supported the Civil Rights Movement. Do I look black to you?"

Today, I found a wallet on the street. It was packed with credit cards and $300 in cash. I took out the drivers license, put the guy's address into my GPS, and drove it to him, cash and all. He couldn't believe it. "You saved me so much grief!" he exclaimed as he handed me $300 in cash.

Today, like every day for the last 4 years, my father picked a fresh flower from his garden and took it to my mother. This time I decided to go with him to see her. And as he placed the flower on her grave, he said, “I just wish I had picked her a fresh flower every day when she was alive.

How to Write a Paper

I borrowed this from Bubbly Moments. I read and literally laughed out loud. It's SO true!

How to write a paper:

1. Sit in a straight, comfortable chair in a well lit place in front of your computer.

2. Log onto Facebook (be sure to set your chat status on away!). Check your email.

3. Read over the assignment carefully, to make certain you understand it.

4. Walk down to the vending machines and buy some chocolate to help you concentrate.

5. Check your email.

6. Call up a friend and ask if he/she wants to go to grab a coffee. Just to get settled down and ready to work.

7. When you get back to your room, sit in a straight, comfortable chair in a clean, well lit place.

8. Read over the assignment again to make absolutely certain you understand it.

9. Check your email.

10. You know, you haven't written to that kid you met at camp since fourth grade. You'd better write that letter now and get it out of the way so you can concentrate.

11. Look at your teeth in the bathroom mirror.

12. Grab some mp3z off of kazaa.

13. Check your email. ANY OF THIS SOUND FAMILIAR YET?!

14. Online chat with one of your friends about the future. (ie summer plans)

15. Check your email.

16. Listen to your new mp3z and download some more.

17. Visit your friend on the other floor and ask if she's started writing yet. Exchange derogatory remarks about your prof, the course, the college, the world at large.

18. Walk to the store and buy a pack of gum. You've probably run out.

19. While you've got the gum you may as well buy a magazine and read it.

20. Check your email.

21. Check the newspaper listings to make sure you aren't missing something truly worthwhile on TV.

22. Play some solitare (or bubbleshooter!).

23. Check out bored.com.

24. Wash your hands.

25. Call up a friend to see how much they have done, probably haven't started either.

26. Look through your roommate's book of pictures from home. Ask who everyone is.

27. Sit down and do some serious thinking about your plans for the future.

28. Check to see if bored.com has been updated yet.

29. Check your email and listen to your new mp3z.

30. You should be rebooting by now, assuming that windows is crashing on schedule.

31. Read over the assignment one more time, just for heck of it.

32. Scoot your chair across the room to the window and watch the sunrise.

33. Lie face down on the floor and moan.

34. Punch the wall and break something.

35. Check your email.

36. Mumble obscenities.

37. 5am - start hacking on the paper without stopping. 6am -paper is finished.

38. Complain to everyone that you didn't get any sleep because you had to write that stupid paper.

39. Go to class, hand in paper, and leave right away so you can take a nap.

I want this for Christmas! A snuggie in TMNT form!

UP

Have you ever seen the movie "UP"? It was cute but very sad and depressing. Anyways, if you did see it and were wondering what the little boy would look like in real life, here ya go. It's pretty funny how similar they are!

Never Doubt Yourself

Cute’s good. But cute only lasts for so long, and then it’s, Who are you as a person? That’s the advice I would give to women: Don’t look at the bankbook or the title. Look at the heart. Look at the soul. Look at how the guy treats his mother and what he says about women. How he acts with children he doesn’t know. And, more important, how does he treat you? When you’re dating a man, you should always feel good. You should never feel less than. You should never doubt yourself. You shouldn’t be in a relationship with somebody who doesn’t make you completely happy and make you feel whole. And if you’re in that relationship and you’re dating, then my advice is, don’t get married. - Michelle Obama

Happy Birthday!

Happy 24th Birthday SC!
I love you!

I caught something..

I have my usual websites i visit daily. They're on the toolbar of my mozilla and I very rarely go on any websites besides those 5 or 6. Those websites mainly consist of facebook, gmail, blogspot, the superficial, perezhilton and hsbc.

Yesterday night i decided i was sick of my plain 'ol background. I was feeling in the Christmas spirit so i decided to find a Christmas background. I search in google, click on one website, and get a pop up. I "x" out immediately and find my background. Little did i know that website gave me a VIRUS. It was so annoying! Everything i clicked on would send me to some spam website. I had to completely reformat my computer in order to get rid of it.

I wish i could remember what the website address was but i typed "christmas wallpapers", i think it was either the 2nd or 3rd one down.

I really need to get better protection.

Just a warning to all.

The Big Move

So i am officially living in Rochester! We moved in yesterday and it actually went a lot smoother and quicker than i thought it would. SC and his parents (who seriously are saints) drove to Buffalo and helped us move everything into the rented u-haul. I had everything packed up already so between the 4 of us we had everything moved in about an hour and a half. When we got to Rochester my family came over and helped us move everything into the new apartment. So we spent all today trying to unpack. Moving from a 2 bedroom apartment to a 1 bedroom has been a challenge as we don't have enough storage... but we're making it work. It's worth not having the extra bedroom because it has it's own laundry, fireplace and just overall it's a lot nicer. There's still a lot of work to do but i'm actually looking forward to it keeping me busy while not having a job. I'm going to take some before and after shots ... of course once i find the box i packed my camera in....

Sorry guys this post is for the ladies

I've been using this shampoo and conditioner for about a week now and i have to say i really like it! I usually blow dry and straighten my hair 2-3 times a week. I've used this each time and Ive had really good results. I'm not sure how much it's really protecting my hair but my hair feels silky and smooth. Its also fairly inexpensive. I recommend it for 2 reasons: less guilty about straightening my hair and silky smoothness. Next I want to try the pureology line of products but that might take a little saving up!

I'm also thinking about getting a hair cut. I'm thinking a look like this. Bangs perhaps? I want something different for a change. Thoughts?

No more excuses!

I've been eating so terrible lately. It's been potato skins, mountain dew, pizza, chicken wings, more pizza, bagels, and the list goes on...tonight my stomach told me enough was enough and i really need to listen to it! From now on, with the occasional mountain dew, i'll be eating healthy. I can't make excuses because starting next week i'll have the free time to make something healthy and go to the gym everyday. The wedding is coming sooner than i realize!

Not really so much of a post as it a reminder to myself!

A little about us

I've seen this survey on a few blogs now so i thought i'd fill one out for myself & SC:

♥ How long have you been together? 5 years on Dec. 23, 2009...wow!

How long did you know each other before you started dating? we met through a friend and started out talking online for about a month, we finally met on the 15th and started officially dating on the 23rd, so technically about 8 days.

♥ Whose siblings do/did you see the most? Probably mine because his brother and sister are both away at college.

♥ Do you have any children together? nope, not for a few more years at least!

♥ What about pets? we live in an apt so no pets. we do want a puppy eventually. i would love a kitten but i'm allergic.

♥ Did you go to the same school? Nope. He went to UB and i went to St. Bonas.

♥ Who is more sensitive? I'd say we're both pretty sensitive

♥ Where do you eat out most as a couple? definitely Applebees and we eat there way too often!

♥ Where is the furthest you two have traveled together as a couple? We haven't gone on too many vacations together so i'd have to say the farthest is NYC.

♥ Who has the craziest exes? hands down, me.

♥ Who does the cooking? We don't cook that often but when we do it's pretty equal. Cooking is something we def want to do more of when we get settled into the new place.

♥ Who is more social? We're both pretty social. He's a little more outspoken than i am but my whole job is talking to people.

♥ Who is the neat-freak? me by far. im pretty sure i have a mild case of ocd. he is the opposite. it doesnt cause problems because most of the time id rather clean it myself.

♥ Who hogs the bed? He hogs the bed, i hog the covers.

♥ Where was your first date? Spot Coffee

♥ How do you spend the holidays? our families live close to each other, about 10mins apart, so it's fairly easy to split our time equally.

♥ Who is more jealous? me.

♥ Who eats more? probably SC although i have my moments.

♥ Who does/did the laundry? we do our own.

♥ Who drives when you are together? him, i hate driving

Well that was pretty boring, i apologize.

Wedding Hair

I haven't had any wedding posts in a while. Now that i have all the big things out of the way i've definitely been a little more relaxed about it. I recently saw these pictures which brought me to my next debate: hair up or down?

Jersey Shore

MTV's The Jersey Shore

I love this show, I'm not gonna lie
. It's real world on steroids. Like i mentioned in a post a while ago about the kardashians, i'm a real sucker for all reality television. This show fits me perfectly. There are 8 roommates, 4 girls, 4 guys, and they all live together in a beach house on the jersey shore and are self proclaimed "Guidos" and "Guidettes'. It basically shows them drinking, clubbing, working out, hooking up and of course tanning and hair spray/gel. Loves it!

Dlisted.com said it best:
"It was like every season of Rock of Love rolled into two hours. I mean, there was barf (TWICE), a pierced peen, bottomless hot tubbing, skanks galore, a punch to the face, a game of Ring Around the Rosie, a cameo by The Bible, more booze than even The Hoff can handle, a million different kinds of SITUATIONS, snatch snatching, t-shirts with Geckos on them and A DUCK PHONE!"

ga ga ooh la la

I know its been out for a while but I'm obsessed with lady gaga's bad romance. Such a good song, especially when i'm driving! I may or may not have put the youtube video on repeat for a good half hour while reading through blog posts. I suggest checking out the music video as well :)
