How adorable are these? They are called Cake Pops and i found them at bakerella.com. I wouldn't want to eat them, they're too cute! You think they would do cake pops designed for a wedding? It would be a fun idea.

Magazine Steals!

I might be the last one to find out about this but did you know you can order yearly subscriptions to awesome magazines like Cosmo and Oxygen for SO cheap on amazon.com?! I ordered myself and SC -Cosmo, Car and Driver, House Beautiful, and Maxim for $31.97!! So exciting.

New Moon

I have to comment on New Moon and about 99% of the population will probably disagree with what i have to say buuuuut...

It was probably one of the worst movies ever. So depressing. In a nutshell it was "omg i can't live without a man in my life". I didn't think Edward or Jacob were hot and Bella was so emo. Anyways, i give this movie a D-.

Times They Are A Changin'

Haven't blogged in a while because my life has been turned upside down. To start, i quit my job yesterday. Well actually i gave my 2 weeks notice and no, i'm not completely crazy. SC finally got the job he's been trying to get for like 2 years so it's something he couldn't pass up. The job is in Rochester which is where we eventually wanted to end up I just didn't think it would be so quick! I'm excited for him and excited to be getting back to Rochester but I don't exactly have anything lined up for myself because its happened so quick. So the dreaded job search starts. Wish me luck in possibly the worst time ever to look for a job.

We're also going apartment hunting this weekend which is very exciting. I originally was all about living downtown (on park avenue) no buts about it, but after going down there and seeing the area i think i would actually rather live in more of a suburb. First off, i'm not exactly the best driver ever and parallel parking would be a major pain, also the apartments are small and expensive buuuuuut the plus is a cool area and of course park ave fest!

We found an apartment in chili with french doors,a fireplace, and personal washer and dryer (no quarters!!) for the same price and i dont think i can pass it up.

We need to make a decision this weekend so i'll keep you updated!

Movie Reviews

Michael Jackson's This Is It. - B+

This movie left me wishing i could've seen MJ in concert. He definitely still had it. My favorite part was seeing "the best of the best" dancers, singers, musicians, etc. MJ sang all of his best songs which had people in the theater dancing and clapping at the end of each performance. If you like concerts and any MJ songs def go see this movie!



Couples Retreat. - B

This movie is entertaining and will definitely have you laughing. The cast was great and created believable couples. It left me wanting to go on vacation!

The Ugly Truth - C+

I have to start by saying i'm a little biased because i am not a fan of Katherine Heigl. This movie had some laughs but it had more cliches and awkward moments. However, I am a sucker for a happy ending which this had (no spoilers here, anyone who watches this for a min. knows how the ending will play out). I would say if you're looking for a cute, date movie - this is your flick .

I'll take 2

I had to get 2 new tires today. Turns out i've been driving on a flat for a while. Who knew? SC had a mini panic attack when he saw my tire today. I swear it wasn't that flat when i was driving on it yesterday. I am the queen of putting off spending money on my car. "Tires? Who needs 'em?"

So i painfully paid for the tires (trust me it was painful because my car is old - over 125,000 miles on it). I told SC i think i need a new car and if he wanted to do something like this it would be okay with me.

Flowers

Love love love roses! If i could afford it I would have fresh ones in my apartment all year long. I'm thinking white roses for my bouquet. I want something beautiful and classy that won't overpower the dress.




I'm also thinking something like this only in centerpiece form for the tables. I like these colors and want something full, even a little cascading onto the table would be pretty.

Pink or Black for a July wedding?


I'm SO torn. The black is classy and matches the church's red carpet (yes, only i would notice something like that) but the pink is more summery and fun.

TGIF

Happy Friday! It's been a long week. SC and i are staying in Buffalo this weekend. We have some golf and Pearl Street Grill planned with friends. Next weekend we are back to Rochester for a much needed hair appointment (finalllllyyy) and to meet our wedding dj!

Yep, we found a dj, check that off my list! He was recommended by our photographer. She asked if we had one and said she's worked with him many times and he's great (doesn't talk to much or make corny jokes). I called him to make sure he sounded legit and we scheduled a meeting for next Saturday. His website is www.fingerlakesentertainment.com.

Better Than Ice Cream

I've been browsing blog sites trying to find a unique first dance song. SC and i have a song, it's "walking in memphis", which is fine except you can't slow dance to it and it doesn't really fit for a first dance. So i'm trying to find something romantic that 2 people with very little rhythm can slow dance too. I happened to stumble across this song. I've always been a fan of Sarah and i know SC is also. This song is currently in the running. I was also thinking about Brad Paisley's "Then". What are your thoughts on this song? Any other ideas?
